VISITING THE ROGAŠKA GLASSWORK
In the Rogaška glass factory, 350 years of tradition and expertise are displayed in various glass and crystal products, all of which are sourced from Trebuša, Pohorje and Kozjansko. After glass production boomed in the 18th and 19th century, William Abel built, in 1926, one of the largest glass factories at Saint Cross Church – today’s Rogaška Glassworks. At the Glassworks you can purchase products in the shop and take a tour of the building to learn first-hand how these products are made.
SEE A SHOW OR EVENT AT THE CRYSTAL HALL, GRAND HOTEL ROGAŠKA
The Crystal Hall, Rogaška, is one of the most important cultural monuments in Rogaška Slatina, providing centre stage for the town’s dance and cultural events. The most famous event it hosts is Anna’s Ball, which is almost two hundred years old. The hall contains four oil paintings by Austrian painter Schröter from the year 1912, which represent important events in the history of the town. There are also five hand-made chandeliers from Glassworks Rogaška.
